PASSO CORESE (RI)

Our presence in the diocese of Sabina - Poggio Mirteto dates back to 1989 when we shared rooms and family homes in San Polo while beginning construction in Passo Corese. Since then we have completed our general house in the countryside 7km from the center of Passo Corese. The housing complex stands on 12 hectares of agricultural land, with a vineyard and olive trees. The general house was inaugurated on May 18th, 1996, with the consecration of the chapel dedicated to the Holy Spouses Joseph and Mary. 

The Oasis of Passo Corese is constructed as a village of five distinct buildings: a house for the sisters, one for the brothers, one reserved for general management, one intended for hospitality and one for common use which includes the chapel for communitary prayer and adoration.

This Oasis is home to the administration services related to the general management of the entire CMOP but is also a lively center of hospitality and spirituality in its own right. Because of its proximity to Rome and the easy access to the pontifical universities, it is also home for our students during their terms of study.

Every Thursday, after Mass, guided Eucharistic adoration.
 

How to get

Arrival by train: from Roma Termini by metro to Roma Tiburtina. Take the train towards Orte / Fara Sabina. Get off at Fara Sabina station.

Arrival by car: Roma Nord motorway exit. Immediately after the toll booth, turn right for Fiano Romano, then follow the signs for Passo Corese (Rieti is fine too). You arrive on a fast road and then on the Salaria. At the traffic lights, turn left and engage the junction area: take the direction of Talocci (Farfa, Fara Sabina). After 3.5 km turn left (via Cavalli Ponticchio). After 800 m turn right, via Grotte di Torri. Follow it for about 1 km: the Community is on the right.

Wherever a member of the CMOP lives or works, there the Community is. Aggregated spouses and consecrated seculars are an integral part of our Ecclesial Family and work, in their respective ecclesial realities, in communion with the local Bishop and the Holy Father. In this way we are present in other regions of Italy, Brazil and other countries scattered throughout the world.
